MW Trade obtained refinancing and new financing facility for acquisition
Ferdinand Investment Partners Advises MW Trade on Refinancing and Capital Restructuring
MW Trade is a Romanian operator active in freight transport and agribusiness, running distinct business divisions with separate capital and operational profiles. A weak financing structure, limited business-unit transparency, and stalled expansion plans required a sequenced solution, one that could stabilize the balance sheet without deferring growth.
Ferdinand prepared the financing request and managed the full lender engagement process. Existing short-term loan facilities were refinanced and consolidated into a new long-term facility with improved terms, reducing financing costs by 30% and improving liquidity. In parallel, Ferdinand designed a demerger into distinct business units to establish clear profitability tracking by division and lay the groundwork for future capital raising.
The refinancing closed within four months of engagement. Ferdinand prepared the financing request within one month of engagement and managed the full lender process through to signing within three months. The advisory partnership has since extended into acquisition support and vertical integration as MW Trade pursues expansion.
